About Katia

As a therapist, I have experience of working in the charity sector and schools, as well as a specialist NHS service for adult survivors of child sexual abuse. Areas of special interest include trauma, neglect/abuse, anxiety, shame, identity, belonging and life transitions. I also create and facilitate workshops for colleagues interested in integrating arts processes and trauma stabilisation into their work. In addition to my private practice, I work as clinical lead for a low cost counselling charity.

With a background in education, I have over 20 years' experience as teacher, tutor, theatre workshop facilitator and learning mentor; engaging with children and young people aged 4 to 19. Over time, my passion for the arts and pastoral care, together with my interest in the impact of childhood experiences, led me to train in integrative arts psychotherapy.
