About Katia

As a therapist, I have experience of working in the charity sector and schools, as well as a specialist NHS service for adult survivors of child sexual abuse. Areas of special interest include trauma, neglect/abuse, anxiety, shame, identity, belonging and life transitions. I also create and facilitate workshops for colleagues interested in integrating arts processes in their practice. In addition to my private practice, I currently work for a youth counselling charity.

With a background in education, I have over 20 years' experience as teacher, tutor, theatre workshop facilitator and learning mentor; engaging with children and young people aged 4 to 19. Over time, my passion for the arts and pastoral care, together with my interest in the impact of childhood experiences on adult lives, led me to train in integrative arts psychotherapy.
