What to Expect
If you are interested in working with me, send an email, get in touch via the contact form on this website, or call me and leave a voicemail message. I will get back to you to arrange a free, 20 minute, telephone call in the first instance.
This is an opportunity for me to find out what you are hoping for in therapy at this time and get a sense if I am qualified and experienced to support you. It's also a chance for you to ask any questions about my practice to help you decide whether or not you would like to go ahead with an initial consultation.
When seeking therapy, you may want to arrange to meet with a few therapists and decide who feels like a good 'fit' for you.
At this point, we have an opportunity to get to know each other a little more. You may have further questions about my practice, training or experience. I will enquire into your life experience, background, struggles, resources (including your support network), as well as what is going well for you. We may clarify what you are looking for and I will begin formulating a plan of support. However, there is no obligation to commit to therapy with me at this stage.
What happens next...
If you would like to continue working with me, we will arrange a further appointment at a time that will be your regular, weekly, session.
In this second session, we will sign the detailing confidentiality, record keeping, payment and cancellation policy. Our work together continues...
